A special assembly was held in Tolkien House on 20th November 2012. The mother of Harry Moseley was present and accepted a cheque on behalf of all at KESH to go towards the Help Harry Help Others charity.

Dr Essex had the vision of getting all the staff and students to create Harry's signature bracelets during personal tutor time. Great fun was had by all and we raised alot of money for the charity. Thanks to all those who took part!

A big thank you to Aziz Coach Service from Sparkbrook for donating £100 towards our Water Aid fund raising efforts. The fund raising will culminate in the head shaving extravaganza planned for Thursday 20th Lloyd House assembly. Find out more about Water Aid and the vital work they are carrying out.

At King Edward VI  Sheldon Heath  Academy we like to do our bit for the environment and we are currently working towards the Eco School's Bronze award. Staff and pupils in the Geography department have been involved in thinking about ways that the school can be kinder to the environment by undertaking an environmental review and creating posters to encourage people to be more sustainable around the school. All of our printer toner cartridges are sent for recycling as an example.

Not only is this great for developing the ideas of pupils in the future it will also mean that the school will obtain the Eco Schools Bronze Award that can be added to its many other achievements!

Students in year 8 took part in the Sandwell Poetry Rocks Final 2011 and won!! In the first round of judging, our students were tied in 1st place. After a "poetry-off" we managed to convince the judges and won the top prize.
