On Thursday 1st December we held our Awards Evening to celebrate the success, academic or otherwise, of students in Years 10, 11, 12 and 13. This was a fantastic evening, with the theatre packed with students, their parents, Governors, distinguished guests and staff – all wanting to share our students’ outstanding achievements. Awards were presented by Patrick Burns, King Edward VI Governor and BBC Political Editor, to students for their achievement in external examinations, their progress in the subjects they study, their contributions to Academy life, their achievements in sport, to name but a few. The excellent performances by students during the intervals gave the evening an extra buzz.
