Well done to all our fantastic staff group and students! Staff have gained bragging rights by beating the students in the inaugural cricket match. The staff won the toss choosing to bat first. Openers Gordon and Pickford got off to a solid start hitting 26 off the first 2 overs. We were followed by strong performances from Cave and Hafeez as well as Eley and Blair with the bat. Helped along with Jensen and Clements, Watts and Graham, the staff managed to hit 76 runs leaving the students 77 to win!

After some, literally, back breaking bowling and a ‘wicket maiden’ over by Eley, the students ended up 11 runs short of the target which meant that the staff were victorious! Thanks to all those that came along, it was a lovely occasion, where, yet again our students build relationships and gain wider experiences outside the classroom!
